THE BEAST – after he destroys the woman (Babylon)

IRAN: Hates Babylon (the mysterious illusive entity that is Babylon will be destroyed in one day). Iran hates those who try to control them. The beast, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, The False Prophet Ahmadinejad and the Destroyer, Nazrallah, are all in place.

The Arab League though divided into Sunni and Shia, dominate the world today. Iran, “was and is not and is to come”. Their Ayatollah Ali Khamenei believes he is the 12th Imam, God. As we watch to see who emerges from the “bottomless pit” and once for all know who ‘the beast’ is and who Babylon is, the world will be deceived and go to destruction.

Heaven, the Land of the Living. God will live there and we will look on His Goodness, Glory, Beauty and ask questions in His Holy Temple. We will be His people, and He will be our God, our inheritance. Redeemed, Children of our Father. Perfect love is there. The Peace of God surrounds us. Gentleness, Goodness Complete Joy. At the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth There are mansions, many of them, and God is preparing them for us. We will see people we know and never think of or miss others. The sun and the moon will no longer be the light by day and night, for God will be the Everlasting Light, there will be no more night. He has delivered us from His wrath on the earth. He will be seated on His throne, with a rainbow that looks like an emerald surrounding it. He will have the appearance of jasper and carnelian with the rainbow surrounding Him and His Glory. The Holy City Jerusalem has the Glory of God, its radiance like a rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. It has a great high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels and on the gates the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel inscribed on them. The wall is built of jasper, the city is pure gold, clear as glass. The foundations of the wall of the city is adorned with every kind of jewel. The first is jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. The city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light and its lamp is the Lamb. Nations will surround it and all the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it, but nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone false, only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Around the throne are twenty-four thrones, and seated on the thrones are twenty-four elders, clothed in white clothes, with golden crowns on their heads. From the throne can come flashes of lightning, and rumblings and peals of thunder, and in front of the throne there are seven torches of fire, which are the seven spirits of God, and in front of the throne there is a sea of glass, like crystal. And around the throne, on each side of the throne, are four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind. And in front of His throne when we first get there will be a great multitude of people from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in our hands and loudly saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb!” These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. We have washed our robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. That is why we are before the throne of God and serve Him in His temple. And He will shelter us with His presence. We shall never hunger or thirst or be sunburned or uncomfortable from the weather because the Lamb is our Shepherd and will lead us to springs of Living Water. Angels will be everywhere. Tens of thousands of angels. Mighty angels doing God’s bidding. The River of the Water of Life, bright as a crystal will flow from the throne of God and of the Lamb. It flows through the middle of the street of the city. On each side of the River is The Tree of Life, with twelve kinds of fruit that it yields each month. The leaves of the tree were used for the healing of the nations. The Lord God Almighty will wipe away every tear from your eyes and no one will ever die, for death shall be no more. Neither is there any more mourning, or crying, or pain anymore, for the former things are all passed away. A loud voice from the throne announces to us that the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with us and we will be His people. The animals there will be completely tame and have no fear. The wolf and the lamb will eat together of the beautiful garden of grass, the lion will eat straw like the ox, dust shall be the serpent’s food. The animals will never hurt or destroy anything in heaven. We are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb, and these are the True Words of God. We are blessed and holy, sharing in the first resurrection! We are priests of God and of Christ and we will reign with Christ for a thousand years. We shall judge the world and angels. We are now immortal and bear the image of the heavenly. Death is swallowed up in victory. Then we will dwell with The Lord God forever and ever. Amen

A King “The Destroyer” in English

Note: I was doing this study when Israel was attacked by Hezbullah in the year 2006 and it came over the news, a statement from Israel calling Nazrallah, the “destroyer of Lebanon”. He is the leader of Hezbullah,. It was powerful. It seemed like the time when the leader Caiaphas said: “that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.”John 11:50; John 18:14; How insignificant that statement seemed, and how many even heard it. John recorded it and was probably there when he heard it. He knew it was a significant, powerful statement.

He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me.

The entire history of the world is covered in Revelation. Even to the end of our understanding of God’s plans.

We have rehearsed the Bible for thousands of years and are in awe of our Creator God Almighty. He has foretold the future and we are still in awe when it unfolds just like He has told us.

We are in awe to know that when this age of Grace we live in today expires there will be a period of one thousand years and when that expires there will be an eternity with God in His Holy Temple and with mansions He has prepared for us.

Rev 20:7And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison 8and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle; the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city; and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Ezekiel 38:11And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, 12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places [that are now] inhabited, and upon the people [that are] gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

Rev 20:7-9 and Ezekiel 38 and 39 will be the future after the 1000 year reign of Christ. All Israel and all the Saints in Light will still be reading the Bible during the 1000 year reign of Christ. Looking into the future of Ezekiel 38 and 39, when “fire”will come “down from God out of heaven, and devour them.” Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

BOOK OF LIFE …Oh death where is your victory, oh death where is your sting……….

The Book of Life is mentioned in scripture from Genesis to Revelation. God, His Holy Spirit teaches us to hear and listen to what He says. It is clear our names are all entered into the Book of Life, else how could it be erased.

‘A river of fire was flowing, coming out from His presence. Thousands upon thousands served Him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was convened, and the books were opened.’ (Daniel 7:10)

‘Anyone who has an ear should listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. I will give the victor some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name is inscribed that no one knows except the one who receives it.’ (Revelation 2:17)

A new name will be given to us. With our names being in ‘the Book of Life’ from the beginning this may be the name inscribed on the stone God will give to us.

‘The Lord will blot out his name under heaven.’ (Deuteronomy 29:20). ‘Blot out his name under heaven,’ blotting or erasing a name from the Book of Life.

‘Now if You would only forgive their sin. But if not, please erase me from the book You have written.” The Lord replied to Moses: “Whoever has sinned against Me I will erase from My book.’ (Exodus 32:32,33)

‘You Yourself have recorded my wanderings. Put my tears in Your bottle. Are they not in Your records?’ (Psalm 56:8)

Records are being kept in books in heaven.

‘Let them be erased from the book of life and not be recorded with the righteous.’ (Psalm 69:28)

God has given every life since Adam a name, a name which he has given to each and every seed that would ever exist and recorded them in The Book of Life, easily done by DNA. Our Creator knows each by name. Not the name you know, but the name God has given you.

Christ the Savior

‘Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ, according as he has chosen us in Him (note: the Him is – ‘Christ’) before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love; (note: the Him is – ‘Christ’) Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved (Jesus Christ).’ (Ephesians 1:3-11)

The mystery of Christ, to be specific is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, and fellow members of the body (of Christ), and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus, through the Gospel, and the administration of ‘the mystery’ is through the church. God’s plan is being worked out through the Church, in conformity to that timeless purpose which he centered in Jesus, our Lord. ‘When I think of the greatness of this great plan I fall on my knees before God the Father. That Christ may actually live in your hearts by faith,’ awesome, amazing. Before the foundation of the world, God the Father, according to the good pleasure of His will, decided (foreknew) to predestinate all who believe in the Beloved (Christ), to give them eternal life. It is ‘… the mystery of Christ…’ ‘which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;’ (Ephesians 3: 4) …. ‘which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ;’ (3:9)……. ‘according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:’ (3:11). ‘…..and ..if the rulers and kings of this age had known it they would not have crucified him’ (1 Corinthians 2:7-8).

‘Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints; To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:’ (Colossians 1:26 – 27)

‘Now to Him who has power to strengthen you according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the sacred secret kept silent for long ages, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic Scriptures, according to the command of the eternal God, to advance the obedience of faith among all: To God, only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.’ (Romans 16:25)

‘For God so loved the world He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. Anyone who believes in Him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the One and Only Son of God.’ (John 3:16-18)

Already condemned because before the foundation of the world God planned, anyone who does not believe in Jesus Christ will not be saved. The only way to salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ.

‘The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who refuses to believe in the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.’ (John 3:36)

What is ‘the Gospel?’ What is the ‘Good News?’ It is the story of the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

‘You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. We are witnesses of all the things He did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem. They also put Him to death by hanging Him on a cross. God raised Him up on the third day and granted that He become visible, not to all the people, but to witnesses who were chosen beforehand by God, that is, to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. And He ordered us to preach to the people, and solemnly to testify that this is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of the living and the dead. Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.’ (Acts 10:38-43)

‘By this gospel you are saved, ‘that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,’ (1 Corinthians 15: 2-4)

“From this man’s descendants (King David), according to the promise, God brought the Savior, Jesus, to Israel. ‘The victor will be given a white garment, and I will never erase his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before My Father and before His angels.’ (Revelation 3:5)

The ’1^st beast’ of Rev 13:2 Is the one who rises up out of the joined forces of the Leopard (Greece), Bear (Media-Persia (Turkey/Iran)), Lion (Babylon (Iran/Iraq)). The Arab countries are aligning themselves now. Iraq, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran, Syria, Jordan, Turkey, Greece, American Muslims. Eze 38:5 ‘……Persia, Ethiopia and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:’

Revelation Chapter 13:14 through 13:18 is about the 2nd Beast. HE is GRANTED permission to perform great signs (13:13). Granted permission to build the image of the 1st Beast and granted permission to cause anyone who does not worship the 1st Beast to be killed (13:15).

It is the 2nd Beast who causes all to have the sign of the 1st Beast, ‘to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads’ (13:16). It is HE who we believe is the ‘False Prophet’.(16:13) ..I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

It is this ‘False Prophet’, Beast, Amazing person who Hates the Harlot (which equals) = Babylon. It is the False Prophet who I also believe has 3 and 1/2 years, who will lead the battle of Armageddon.

It is the 1st Beast’s number (666) and who goes into perdition (17:8), who the dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority(13:2) and who is worshipped by all whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world (13:8).

“For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.” (17:17)

The Revived Roman Empire, represented by the Dan 2:42 ‘And [as] the toes of the feet’, 10 toes = The Europeon Union. Dan 2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom,

The woman sitting on the beast = the harlot = Babylon

Someone once said, ‘The description of Babylon only fits the U. S. at this time.’ Since that was said there are more possibilities, like Abu Dhabi, Dubai City in the UAE, Qatar and Al Basrah, the city of Basra has a major role in H.G. Wells‘s 1934 future history “The Shape of Things to Come” where the Iraqi city is at the center of a world state emerging after a collapse of civilization and becomes in effect the capital of the world.

The Ten Toes are often referred to as the Roman Empire cracked up but still the 4th kingdom and reviving now in our day. The European Union. I believe this is true.

Chapter 13:1-10 describes the 1st beast and is separated from verses 11-18 because they describe the 2nd beast and how he worships the 1st beast. Chapter 13 gives a spiritual description of the 1st and 2nd beasts works and covers all of the 7 years – the 1st beast’s 3 ½ yrs and then the 2nd beast’s 3 ½ years. Notice verse 13:5 specifically states the 1st beast has 3 ½ years. Dan 2:36-44; 7:3-7; Zech 1:18-21; Rev 17:12; All refer to the same World Kings and Countries. Zech 1:2,21 The 4 artisans may refer to the 4 horsemen of Rev 6:1-8; Isa 26:21.

1^st Beast

Book of Life

I have heard it said there are a set of books in heaven. (Hal Lindsey gives quite a good explanation of the books.) There is a book of life with the name of every person who has ever lived or will live, written down. I believe this is so, and that the names are names God has given them. The DNA could easily be the Identifier of every soul. Not a name we would recognize as our name now, but what God has named him.

There is a book of Works, which lists every deed good or bad for each person. Then there are a couple of other books mentioned by Lindsey. Then Tim LaHaye says he believes there is a ‘Lamb’s Book of Life’ Rev 21:27, which I believe is the book, ‘The Book of Life.’ When a soul determines not to accept Christ as their personal Savior their name is erased from the Book of Life. That still leaves their names in the book of works, and they are judged from that book. The Calvanists believe having your name in the book of life is the list of who God has chosen to be saved from the beginning of time.

I believe, as I have said, it is the name of every person God has planned to create from the beginning of time. Each one chooses life or death. Having one’s name erased from that book is spiritual death.

Verse 10:7 says when the 7^th angel sounds the ‘Mystery of God’ will be finished. Verse 15:8 says, ‘….no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plagues were completed..’. This has led me to believe the 6^th Seal, 6^th Trumpet, 6^th Bowl, 1^st and 2^nd woes, are to occur simultaneously and back to back, while the 7^th Seal, 7^th Trumpet, 7^th Bowl, and 3^rd woe are all to occur simultaneously climaxing the finished work of God.

Chapter 20

Satan, the Dragon is jailed for 1000 yrs. (Note: 1000 yrs is as one day to the Lord) Satan released for a season. There seems to be no explanation, at this time, for why God would have to release Satan for a season. It might have been part of some contract or law, certainly we have not been told or at least comprehended. Satan is finally thrown into the lake of fire, forever. Gog and Magog gathered to battle and God devours them, and they are cast into the lake of fire, forever. Perhaps Gog and Magog were also the princes of the 1^st war.

Rev 20:1 THEN I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. Rev 3:7; Isa 22:22; 24:21-23;

Isa 22:22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.

Thus the reason for assuming the disciples and the 12 tribes of Israel represent the 24 elders. Which I still contend no one knows who the 24 elders are.

1 Pet 2:5, 9-10; you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

The Second War – Gog and Magog – appears to be the same enemy as in Armageddon

1 Cor 15:24-28; Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.

For “God has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “all things are put in subjection,” it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him. When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all.

Chapter 14 - Babylon to fall. The scene starts in heaven. Chapters 14,15,16,18, and 19 are going to all happen at the same time. One minute you are seeing what is going on in heaven, then on earth, and then heaven, earth, and building up to Armageddon.

This occurs same time as the Rev 11:13 welcoming the 7,000 Jews saved.

There is nothing in scripture that identifies a special group of people, 144,000 strong, who were undefiled with women, virgins and redeemed and follow the Lamb wherever he goes, meaning they have the preferential place with God and the Lamb. Except maybe the disciples. ‘Without fault before the throne of God’, describes all believers. This group of special people remains a mystery.)

Rev 14:4 These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.

Chapter 14,15,16,19 will all occur at the same time. One right after the other. In heaven, in earth, until ‘it is finished’.

The fourth kingdom of Daniel 7 = The former Roman Empire with 10 horns (10 kings). Perhaps the joined forces of the European Union = is the woman sitting on a scarlet beast = Babylon. I do not believe the EU is the ‘woman sitting on a scarlet beast’. Someone once said, ‘The description of Babylon only fits the U. S. at this time.’ Since that was said there are more possibilities, like Abu Dhabi, Dubai City in the UAE, Qatar and Al Basrah, the city of Basra has a major role in H.G. Wells‘s 1934 future history “The Shape of Things to Come” where the Iraqi city is at the center of a world state emerging after a collapse of civilization and becomes in effect the capital of the world.

Chapter 10. A Parenthetical warning of the last 3 ½ years and the prophecy of the 2 witnesses who warn of the final wrath of God. The 6^th and 7^th angels to sound out yet.

This verse explains, to me, that the 6^th and 7^th Seals, Trumpets and Bowls go together. Verse 15:8 says, ‘….no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plagues were completed.’. This has led me to believe the 6^th seal, 6^th trumpet, 6^th bowl, 1^st and 2^nd woes, are to occur simultaneously while the 7^th seal, 7^th trumpet, 7^th bowl, and 3^rd woe are all to occur simultaneously climaxing the finished work of God.

Chapter 13 – A description of the 2^nd beast and the last 3 ½ years. When the 1^st beast was wounded the 2^nd beast became the new authority, but gives the 1^st beast worship. The warning of the mark of the beast 666.

Revelation Chapter 13:14 through 13:18 is about the 2nd Beast. HE is GRANTED permission to perform great signs (13:13). Granted permission to build the image of the 1st Beast and granted permission to cause anyone who does not worship the 1st Beast to be killed (13:15). It is the 2nd Beast who causes all to have the sign of the 1st Beast, ‘to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads’ (13:16). It is HE who we believe is the ‘False Prophet’.(16:13) ..I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

It is this ‘False Prophet’, Beast, Amazing person who Hates the Harlot (which equals = Babylon). He is the False Prophet who has 3 and 1/2 years, who will lead the battle of Armageddon.

“For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.” (17:17)

The Number 666 is in scripture one other time. Just for fun I have pointed it out. (Ezra 2:1,13 (666) Now these [are] the children of the province that went up out of the captivity, of those which had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away unto Babylon, and came again unto Jerusalem and Judah, every one unto his city;The children of Adonikam, six hundred sixty and six.)

(Rev 8:13 ‘….woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!’) This persuades me the 2^nd Woe is during the last 3 ½ years.

Chapter 11 – The Two Witnesses = (they have 3 ½ years) The two olive trees = The two lampstands standing before God = They are the 2^nd Woe.

They begin their witnessing at the time the 2^nd beast begins his reign.

This puts chapter 10, last half of chapter 13 and chapter 11 all about the same time.

The 6^th Seal 6:12, 6^th Trumpet 9:13 and 6^th Bowl 16:12 will happen during this last 3 ½ years that the Two Witnesses have. Then the 7^th Seal is opened.

Rev 11:1 THEN I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, “Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there.” Eze 40:-41;

Parenthetical – A mystery revealed

This is not a span of time, but rather like a time out to describe to us the Babylon that is going to be destroyed in Chapter 18.

Mystery Babylon – The woman sitting on a scarlet beast – the beast has 7 heads and 10 horns (the 1^st beast) – Babylon, revealed to us

Rev 17:9 is the verse that Hal Lindsey uses to identify the Rome of the end times, he thinks it will be the European Union’s capital. The 7 heads = 7 mountains of Rome. Quoting Lindsey, “There is no question about where the city would be – it was Rome. It says that the woman sits (or rules) on seven mountains. Most elementary students of history or geography know that Rome is the city of seven hills. It is there that the religious system will reign for a time in coalition with the political system.”

Those 7 hills are ‘hills’ not mountains.

Rev 17:9-10 The seven heads = 7 mountains which are 7 kings who are controlled by this ‘woman sitting on the scarlet beast.’ These seven kingdoms/countries who will have a leader who sells his soul to the Devil and they will hate the harlot (17:16) and destroy her, and destroy her like Babylon. Till all give their kingdoms to the beast. 17:18! Those 7 mountains are called ‘kingdoms’!

The great harlot is Mystery Babylon, which I believe is a city that rules all the kingdoms, is rich and ‘they’ hate her. Not an apostate church – but a city that is rich ‘arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication……….the kings of the earth committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her…..merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of objects of ivory, precious wood, bronze, iron and marble ……and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses…..and bodies and souls of men.’ The ‘Islam’ religion is the worlds religion now! Not hard to imagine the Arabs of todays world, who hate all who do not worship their way.

Someone once said, ‘The description of Babylon only fits the U. S. at this time.’ Since that was said there are more possibilities, like Abu Dhabi, Dubai City in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Al Basrah, the city of Basra has a major role in H.G. Wells‘s 1934 future history “The Shape of Things to Come” where the Iraqi city is at the center of a world state emerging after a collapse of civilization and becomes in effect the capital of the world.

Dubai has been ruled by the Al Maktoum dynasty since 1833. Its current ruler, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is also the Prime Minister and Vice-President of the UAE.

Babylon

The city, Babylon is not in view here, as the immediate context shows. It is important to note the significance of the name when used symbolically. “Babylon” is the Greek form: invariably in the O.T. Hebrew the word is simply Babel, the meaning of which is confusion, and in this sense the word is used symbolically.

(1) In the prophets, when the actual city is not meant, the reference is to the “confusion” into which the whole social order of the world has fallen under Gentile world-domination. (See “Times of the Gentiles,” Luke 21:24; Revelation 16:14; Isaiah 13:4 gives the divine view of the welter of warring Gentile powers. The divine order is given in Isa. 11. Israel in her own land, the centre of the divine government of the world and channel of the divine blessing; and the Gentiles blessed in association with Israel. Anything else is, politically, mere “babel.”

Scofield said of the 7 churches, “Most conclusively of all, these messages do present an exact foreview of the spiritual history of the church, and in this precise order…..” Then he explains the periods of, (spiritual history), time for each church.

First, a conquerer, most agree is not our Lord, but evil comes, and peace is taken from earth. The second seal which unleashes war, people killing people. The third, a black horse whose rider carries scales to weigh wheat and barley, which all agree, signifies famine. The fourth, a Pale horse who’s rider’s name is Death and Hades following him to kill with sword, hunger and death, and has power over ¼ of the earth. (Note: Africa is a killing field today. Muslims are killing thousands.)

All you have to do is view the History channel and see the death, hunger and destruction of the past 2000 years and you might be able to envision it, too. Watch any prophecy program and see them explain the seals with the pictures of world history.

I would put the 1^st seal to be opened during the 1^st church age. The next 3 seals, 2,3 and 4 are opened over the course of the 2^nd church age through the 6^th church age. That would time the 5^th seal to occur as the 7^th church age ends. This would explain why the church is mentioned no more.

The 7^th Church, the 5^th seal and Rev 6:9 thru chapter 7, describes the Rapture.

John sees the scene set for the rapture and the wrath of God to occur.

Chapters 4 through 7 are happening in heaven. Chapter 12 is a Parenthetical, a spiritual glance of Israel, Christ, the Great Red Dragon Satan being cast to earth for his last 7 years before the millennium. They glimpse the entire church age, through the Rapture and sealing of the saints foreheads and given garments. Finishing off with the singing of praise to God.

Chapter 6 describes the scene in heaven as the 5 seals are opened, which I believe happen at the same time as the church age is happening.

Rev 6:1 NOW I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.”

2^nd Seal

2^nd Church Age (Rev 2:8)

Rev 6:4 Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword. (Rev 6:8)

There shall be ‘wars and rumors of wars’, (matt 24:6) and war will be with us to the end

And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth. (I believe we are in the 4^th seal now, waiting for the rapture, 5^th seal, and then the 6^th church age.)

Ex 28:2; And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty.

Lev 16:4; He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches (note: the britches Bible) upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these [are] holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and [so] put them on.

Chapter 6 verses 12 through 17 are descriptions of events that are final for the earth and the heavens. Catastrophic events which I believe are during the final wrath of God.

The 6^th and 7^th events occur at the same time, well, as you will see the wrath of God, and after the 1000 year reign will present the kingdom to the Father.

Chapter 7

I believe Chapter 7 is a view of activity in heaven. A picture of all of the saved, ready to watch what God’s wrath does to earth. What a view. Seeing every soul saved from the beginning to the end. The sealing of all believers, over all of time, the snatching up and joining those under the altar,

There are 4 angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, so that the wind should not blow on the earth, or sea, or on any tree. And then another angel ascending from the east with the seal of the living God. This angel told the four angels “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads. The 144,000 Jews and (in 14:1) a great multitude which no one could number” – who came out of the great tribulation (would the first four seals represent the great tribulation? Possibly?, Meaning we are in the great tribulation. I believe the four winds will blow once all who are to be saved are saved)(So the four winds will not be set loose until all who are to be saved are sealed.), and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 7:16 They shall never hunger or thirst anymore……………….and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes… 7:17; 21:4; Isa 25:8. He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken [it].]) I believe that describes us, raptured. (1 Cor 15:26; The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed [is] death.)

Rev 7:1 AFTER these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. 7:1; 9:14,15; Jer 49:36; Eze 37:9; Dan 7:2; 8:8; 11:4; Zec 2:6; Matt 24:31; Mar 13:27; John is still being shown what is going on in heaven.

Jer 49:36; And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come. (Note, Elam is present day Iran)

Eze 37:9; Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

Dan 7:2; Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.

Dan 8:8; Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.

Dan 11:4; And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those.

Zec 2:6; Ho, ho, [come forth], and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.

Because the servants of our God are sealed by the Holy Spirit according to scripture (2 Cor 1:22; Eph 1:13), I believe this is a reference to all who are saved)

Rev 7:4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed: Rev 3:12; 7:2-4,9; 9:4; 14:1; 22:4; Ex 28:38; Eze 9:4; Eph 1:13-14; 4:30;

Note: See Gen 49:17; Here in Rev, Dan’s name is not mentioned, and Manasseh’s name is used Gen 49:17; Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.
